Woodbine Farm and Vineyards is nestled along the shoreline of Buggs Island Lake in southern Virginia. Dr. Reggie Young and his wife Jenny moved to Clarksville in 1978 with the hopes of establishing a dental practice in the quaint waterside town of Clarksville.
Prior to 1986 the Youngs’ had been residing on the lake in Conifer Cove and boarding their horses in a tobacco barn owned by Dr. Gerald Burnett. During that time, they had been looking for a farm where they could care for their horses and raise a family. In the fall of 1986 Woodbine Farm became available. The farm was perfectly situated on Buffalo Creek hosting three beautiful barns equipped with electricity and automatic waterers. The barns, the location, and the history of the property was all that the Youngs needed to pursue the property. Algie and Alease Talbott closed on the property October 31,1986. Within a month, Reggie and Jenny had gone from Lake Life to Farm Life. They were now residents of “The Junction”.
